“Hannah started Piano lessons with Karsten mid-2019. I have been amazed to see Hannah’s progress during this last 18 months. Karsten teaches piano technique but also a variety of musical skills including theory, composition, and music history. Hannah really enjoys composition and even wrote a little song herself. Karsten makes learning fun with games that is great for kids to learn and retain knowledge. She also uses a variety of musical styles, making learning piano interesting and exciting. I also like that the kids are given an opportunity to perform in front of an audience helping them to become comfortable on stage. Karsten is a very patient, positive, and inspiring teacher. Hannah is generally a bit shy but I can see she feels comfortable with Karsten and very keen to learn more every week.”

“Karsten has been my daughter Claire’s piano teacher since she was 7 years old. Her kind and gentle manner meant that even though Claire had no prior experience, she was comfortable from her very first session, and any nerves she had immediately disappeared. Claire has always been a child that finds it hard to stick to things that she finds challenging, but with Karsten, she has learned to believe in herself and how with effort and determination she can improve.
